Dr. Girish Nanak Motwani is an University Gold medalist Orthopedic Surgeon, pioneer in ANKLE-FOOT as well as PAEDIATRIC orthopaedic surgery. He is Director of “The Foot and Ankle Orthocare,Dhantoli” as well as “South Point Clinic,Manewada”. Dr. Motwani is national and state medical council board certified, Master (MS) in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in Advanced paediatric orthopaedics and foot-ankle reconstruction. He represent Nagpur’s city first Exclusive foot and ankle orthopaedic Expect.He has extensive experience in surgical management for the lower extremity. Dr.Motwani has focused interests in Ankle foot tendon/ligament repair, rheumatoid arthritis, lower extremity deformity correction and lengthening,Arthroscopic surgery, Minimally invasive cartilage or osteochondral repair, Diabetic /Charcot foot reconstruction, cerebral plasy, congenital anomaly ,limb salvage, Ilizarav fixation, Micro-neurovascular surgery, Amputations, Great toe arthritis with deformity and Foot ankle tumour and Oncology. He has special dedicated interest in reconstruction of deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, flatfeet, and high-arched feet.He is a pioneer in the use of advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound for soft-tissue and sports pathology. Despite his interest in advancing the science and practice of orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery, Dr.Motwani guiding philosophy is that the needs of the patient come first. Dr.Motwani is currently a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) , the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) , British orthopaedic foot and ankle society(BOFAS) as well as Indian orthopaedic association(IOA). He is an active member of Many academic programs and participates in more than a dozen local and national committees as faculty or Guest speaker. He has numerous publications and continues to work in research and education.
